Lyrics - Truth

TRUTH

Do you understand life’s in your hand?

Decisions come around, questions still abound;

Truth!

See before your eyes, really no compromise;

What’s there to recognize?

Truth is revealed in your heart;

Truth was there from the start.

Deep inside where there’s faith;

Deep inside, a saving grace,

From your Lord.

Turn to the One that’s true;

The only One that can save you!

With the truth, hope you’ll understand;

Crucial in His plan, salvation is at hand.

What do you think of The Truth?

Truth!

Turn to the One, you know is true;

The One from the cross can save you

with the truth.

Deep inside the truth lies;

Deep inside the truth will set you free.

Truth, Truth, Truth.

IN THE GARDEN

I come to the garden alone,

While the dew is still on the roses;

And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,

The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

I’d stay in the garden with Him

Tho’ the night around me be falling;

But He bids me go; thro’ the voice of woe,

His voice to me is calling.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

TRAIL OF WISDOM

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

They need to return to the well.

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

You knew to tell.

They’ve floundered in the pathway;

Come back now to stay.

They’ve lost the trail to wisdom;

I’m sorry to say.

Man thinks that he’s in charge;

Pride and knowledge to rule this world.

He should know that it soon will end;

Mankind will need a friend, but

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

Wandered away from the fold.

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

Look to the Arms that hold.

Power to kill, never afraid;

Your life’s in your control.

Spinning around, up and down;

You’re lost and downward bound.

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

They need to return to the well.

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

You knew to tell.

They’ve floundered in the pathway;

Come back now to stay.

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

I’m sorry to say.

They’ve lost the trail of wisdom;

I’m sorry to say.

YOUR EYES SEE

Look in the mirror, tell me;

What do you see?

Is God’s holy temple reflected in thee?

Look in the mirror, tell me;

What do your eyes see?

It’s not the fairy tale they’d have you believe;

There’s no Seven Dwarfs or Prince Charming.

Wake up today and see the real thing!

Your body’s a temple for the One up above;

Your body’s a temple filled with His love.

Your body’s a temple, treat it as such:

Your body’s a temple, love it as much.

Watch from your lips, oh, watch what you say;

Words from your lips, do they praise Him today?

Look in the mirror, tell me,

What do your eyes see?

Your body’s a temple, for the One up above;

Your body’s a temple filled with His love.

Your body’s a temple, treat it as such;

Your body’s a temple, love it as much.

Thoughts from your mind can be so unkind;

Evil can come and start to unwind His love.

Look in the mirror, tell me,

What do you see?

God’s holy temple reflected in thee?

Look in the mirror, tell me,

What do your eyes see?

What do your eyes see?

What do your eyes see?

OLD MAN

This old man that I know,

Wanders around like a lost soul;

Judge by his looks,

And you will play the fool.

‘Cause, every day, the same time of day;

Every day he stops to pray.

Every day he prays for you and me.

I tell him I thank him for his concern;

He turns away without a word;

I wonder about the life that he had.

I found that he’d lost it all;

A fire had come and claimed the ones he loved;

So how could he care for me,

… His life lost in tragedy.

I tell him I thank him for his concern;

He turns away without a word;

I wonder about the life that he had,

But I couldn’t understand his love.

Then he looked in my eyes,

A tear on his cheek;

No compromise;

They will rise and meet me in the air;

Yes, they will rise and meet me there;

My wife and son will be there.

Could I understand the strength he had?

Could I understand about this man,

And the love he showed for me?

And the love he showed for me?

This old man that I know,

Wanders around like a lost soul;

Judge by his looks,

And you will play the fool.

‘Cause every day, the same time of day,

Yes, every day he prays for you and me.

Yes, every day he prays for you and me;

And the love he showed for me.

FATHER YOU KNOW

Father, You know my purpose;

Father, You know my heart.

Father, You know my purpose;

You knew it from the start.

Your love is all around me;

Help me to walk with You.

Father, You know my purpose;

Your will prevail.

Everyday’s a challenge;

To walk along with You.

Confusion seems to surround me;

Help me to stay true.

For You are all that I really need;

A Light to my path,

And a Guide for me.

Father, You know my purpose;

Father, You know my heart.

Father, You know my purpose;

You knew it from the start.

Father, You know my purpose;

Father, You know my heart.

Father, You know my purpose;

You knew it from the start.

Today’s a brand new day,

To walk side by side.

Put your hand in mine, and

Lead me in Your ways.

For You are all that I really need,

A Light to my path, and a

Guide for me.

Father, You know my purpose;

Father, You know my heart.

Father, You know my purpose.

THE CALL

Waited for the call, never supposed to come;

A call that would change my life forever.

The call came, precious little one was gone;

How to go on without him?

Struggled thru the day, memories began to fade;

As desperation came, I heard a little voice say:

“Put your little hand in mine;

Everything will be just fine;

I’ve passed over the line,

Where the light shines all the time,

So come along and skip with me,

And then you’ll see everything differently;

How beautiful heaven can be!”

I thought about where I’d been in life,

And what he’d meant to me;

A shining candle in the dark;

A short joy here for me.

So I thought about the times we’d talked about God

And how Jesus came for us;

And although I had a tear in my eyes,

His little voice came to me:

“Put your little hand in mine;

Everything will be just fine;

I’ve passed over the line;

Where the light shines all the time,

So, come along and skip with me,

And then you’ll see everything differently;

How beautiful heaven can be!

How beautiful heaven can be!”

How beautiful heaven can be!

Put your little hand in mine;

Everything will be just fine;

I’ve passed over the line;

Where the light shines all the time,

Come along and skip with me,

And then you’ll see everything differently…”

HOLY WATER

Wash me in Your Holy Water,

Wash me in Your Holy Water;

Wash me in Your Holy Water of Your Word.

Wash me in Your Holy Water,

Wash me in Your Holy Water;

Wash me in Your Holy Water of Your Word.

There’s a crystal river flowin’,

Droplets rainin’ on me;

I wondered how to reach it now,

So distant yet so near.

Then I saw Jesus standing there,

Waivin’ and smilin’ to me;

He said it’s so simple now,

Just believe!

Wash me in Your Holy Water,

Wash me in Your Holy Water;

Wash me in Your Holy Water of Your Word.

Wash me in Your Holy Water,

Wash me in Your Holy Water;

Wash me in Your Holy Water of Your Word.

I looked up and saw His hands,

Nail scarred for me;

The tenderness in His eyes,

Hope for all humanity.

I realized why He’d died,

And what that meant for me;

A smile came across my face, as I said

“I believe!”

So what are you goin’ to do with your Life?

Will it end in tragedy?

Or will you take a dip in the Holy Water,

And believe?

Wash me in Your Holy Water,

Wash me in Your Holy Water;

Wash me in Your Holy Word, I believe.

Wash me in Your Holy Water,

Wash me in Your Holy Water;

Wash me in Your Holy Word.

I believe, I believe, I believe!

I believe, I believe, I believe!

ANGELS THEY COME

Teenage boy, bullet proof,

Racin’ thru this world;

Had no need of anything,

Especially not a girl.

Then she came and smiled at me,

What was I to do?

Her dark hair, and dark eyes,

Then I realized,

Angels they come, angels they come;

Angels they come, and surround me.

Angels they come, angels they come;

Angels they come, and surround me.

Years went by, tears were cried

I married that dark eyed girl

Wanted a child, God said, “No;”

A big hole in our world.

On a Monday night a call came in,

Little girl on her way;

Miracle of birth, a precious child,

Then we realized,

Angels they come,

Angels they come.

Down the road many miles,

Never did look back;

Through it all,

A Guiding Hand came to me again.

Angels they come, angels they come;

Angels they come, and surround us.

Oh, angels they come, angels they come;

Angels they come, and surround me.

Angels they come.

SNOW IS FALLIN'

Snow is fallin’ on this Christmas Eve;

Somewhere there’s the singin’ of a jubilee.

With a heavy heart, another day.

Times a wastin’ ’til the clock strikes twelve;

Another drink with a sigh of despair;

With a heavy heart, another day.

Bells a’ringin’, children sing,

A story about the Birth of a King;

Me and my bottle, my best friend.

Bells are singing in the village square,

The birth of a Child, the Savior’s here;

A cry goes up, it’s Christmas Day.

Why am I thinkin’ that it could be wrong?

How am I thinkin’ when a child was born?

Snow is falling on this Christmas Day;

On this Christmas Day.

For born to you, a Child, Savior to man;

A star came bright on this Christmas morn’.

I began to sing ’cause the Baby’s born;

A brand new day, He is Lord.

Bells are singin’ in the village square;

The birth of a Child, the Savior’s here;

A cry goes up, it’s Christmas Day.

It’s Christmas Day

The bottle gets tossed, a prayer goes up;

The Savior was born, I hear.

Bells are singin’ in the village square;

The birth of a Child, the Savior’s here;

A cry goes up, it’s Christmas Day.

Snow is glistenin’ on this Christmas morn’;

The sun is up, and my heart is warm;

No more lonely times, it’s Christmas Day.

It’s Christmas Day,

It’s Christmas Day,

It’s Christmas Day.
